Casual and affordable, Arap Taverna (Platinos, 2 km south of town on the path to the Asklepion) does not disappoint with its home made cooking. Arap is a taverna which specializes in Greek-Turkish fusion cuisine, that can be unique to the island of Kos and represents the Platinos neighborhood’s cultural heritage.
Lofaki Café and Restaurant
Grab a chair under the covered veranda and order a Turkish and Greek mezedes up or get and ask for the daily specials. With a menu, both of meat lovers and vegetarians will have a lot to pick from. You can not miss it if you’re heading out of Kos Town into the Asklepion. Arap is terrific for families with kids. We recommend coming for lunch heading across the road for a homemade ice cream. Perched on a hill four kilometers from Kos Town Is Currently Lofaki Café and Restaurant (Agios Nektarios).
Lofaki is best known for its incredible vistas of conventional cuisine and Kos Old Town. Its surroundings make it a wedding and party venue.
Guests can opt to sit inside or outside in the flower garden overlooking the staircase. Lofaki’s menu includes salads, grilled meats, and signature cocktails. Service is friendly and efficient and the vibe is family friendly. Lofaki can easily accommodate large groups and is a superb value for the money.
Make sure to come early to catch the sunset.

Oromedon Tavern (Zia Village Main Square) is the island’s greatest Greek taverna. Do not come expecting dingy and dark; Oromedon is comfortable, spacious, and airy. His household and owner Nikos reveal what Greek hospitality is all about if they come to the village of Zia. Oromedon boasts views of the Aegean Sea and the nearby island of Kalymnos and overlooks west Kos.

High quality ingredients and generous portions make dining here an experience that is enjoyable and unforgettable. Lamb, pork tenderloin, fresh vegetables, and homemade biscuits are simply a few of the restaurant’s specialties. Don’t waste your time head directly here.
